Individual Student Scholarships
Individual Student Scholarships help the local hospitals maintain a stable blood supply during Winter and Summer breaks when donations historically drop due to weather, travel, or illness. By hosting a drive during these critical times, students can rally their families, friends, and communities to save lives.
Eligibility
Must be a senior in high school, student in college, university, community college or trade school. Winter drives must occur the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s. Summer drives must occur between June 15 – August 15.
Organization
Students may host a blood drive at an approved site (e.g., a blood center, mobile unit, or other authorized location).
All blood drive requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the proposed date and confirmed by the Central California Blood Center.
Every successful donation counts toward scholarship funds.
Funds are sent directly to the student’s college, university, community college or trade school.
