Student Opportunities
The Central California Blood Center is proud to recognize the powerful impact students have on saving lives in our communities.
We celebrate schools and students who lead blood donation efforts, build leadership skills, and give back to their community through three signature programs below.
Together, we can create a lasting culture of giving and leadership that changes lives across the Central Valley.
Our Programs
Donor of Distinction Program
The Donor of Distinction Program recognizes high school students who make a meaningful commitment to saving lives through blood donation. Students who qualify are honored at graduation for their dedication to supporting patients and strengthening our community blood supply.
School Scholarship Program
The School Scholarship Program rewards schools that host blood drives by providing scholarship funds to graduating seniors who demonstrate leadership and community service through blood donation activities.
Individual Student Scholarships
Individual Student Scholarships help the local hospitals maintain a stable blood supply during Winter and Summer breaks when donations historically drop due to weather, travel, or illness. By hosting a drive during these critical times, students can rally their families, friends, and communities to save lives.
Schools can share important resources to students regarding Eligibility, How to Prepare and What to Expect. Students 16 or 17 years old will need a Parent Consent Form before donating
